In Memory of Airport Director Tony Hall
Date: 24/09/2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tony Hall, our Airport Owner and Director.
Tony had been part of the airport community for several years as a resident before taking the decision to purchase Wolverhampton Halfpenny Green Airport in 2023.
From the moment he took ownership, Tony poured his time, energy and passion into securing the airport’s future. Together with his co-owner, he transformed the airport, creating a thriving aviation hub for the local and wider aviation community.
Tony had a clear vision for Wolverhampton Halfpenny Green Airport. He wanted it to become the best general aviation airport in the country, but above all, he wanted pilots and the wider community to be at the heart of its future. He cared deeply about the airport, the people who worked here, and the many people who flew from, visited and called it home.
Tony built a strong team around him and worked tirelessly to turn his vision into reality. His passion, determination and commitment have left a lasting mark on the airport and on the many people who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him.
Within the aviation industry Tony was well known and highly respected, and his passing will be felt deeply by so many people, both within our airport community and far beyond.
At this incredibly difficult time, we politely ask that Tony’s family’s privacy is respected.
Rest in peace, Tony.
Your legacy will live on, and Wolverhampton Halfpenny Green Airport will forever be a part of it.
